Good news for the lovers of the gaming company Razer because they confirmed that they are developing a new mobile device on gaming and entertainment.
Min-Liang Tan, CEO, and co-founder of Razer told CNBC’s “Managing Asia” that “One of the most hotly rumored things about Razer is that we’re coming up with a mobile device. And I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specially geared toward gamers and entertainment. We’re hoping to have it come by the end of the year, so that’s something we’re working on.”
This is best known for its gaming mice and laptops, conjecture had been widespread about the company’s mobile determinations after it publicized its achievement of smartphone-maker Nextbit in January this year. Later Razer stopped support for Nextbit cloud-based Robin phone in August, this is reported by the news outlet CNET. But still, the mobile market looks set to remain main focus at the company.
Tan said: “The mobile market is one of those that we’ve taken the long-term view to look at. We realized that a lot of our gamers are also passionate about the mobile gaming market, so we’ve done a couple of moves.”
When the news broke in the month of July that the company was seeking a Hong Kong first public offering by the end of the year, CEO of the Razer Company addressed the plans to go public.
He said: “We would love to have that war chest allow us to invest in R&D. We are known to have disrupted many industries: We’re the first in the gaming peripherals side of things, we were first when we invented the first true gaming laptop, and we’ve gone on to provide one of the largest software platforms for gamers.”
He further added “Having that war chest from the IPO would allow us to do all that and much more. And that’s what we want to continue doing: to make cool products.”
U.S. currently makes up around half of the Razer’s Company sales and the company has the idea to do more in China, a market it already has the experience to through e-sports.
So, the company’s plan is to introduce new products in the market and spread the company into many countries including China.
