On June 13, 2018, an online news and social networking service, Twitter announced that it is making in-stream video ads available to all Indian advisors that will help marketers capture consumers’ attention. Twitter’s launch is part of a global rollout in 12 markets including Canada, France, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain, United Arab Emirates and many more.

The company said in-stream video ads allow marketers to connect with their audience through pre-roll ads that kick off the videos people love. India’s several brands such as Amazon, Lenovo, LG, Reliance Smart, Monster, Motorola, Nature Fresh Life, Swiggy, have used Twitter’s service for their campaigns.

The social networking service partnered with several video publishers wherein these content partners would share brand-safe videos that audiences would be eager to discover.

Twitter said, “Based on the ‘Global Nielsen Brand Effect’ data, people who saw in-stream video ads on Twitter were 60 percent more likely to recall the brand’s ad, 30 percent were more likely to be aware of the advertiser’s brand and had a five percent higher purchase intent”
